YES!! If hearing about proper care and basic requirements "puts you off" from getting an animal, then you most definitely should NOT be getting that animal!! Keep pushing for proper care standards. THIS is why it's so important!

I work at a vet clinic, and we see nothing but exotics. I've been there over 4 years, and I've NEVER seen anything to this extent.
I truly hope this little guy is doing much better, and is on his way to a forever home as lovely as you provide to your geckos <3

Just from seeing the thumbnail I don't know if I have the heart to see this 😭 thankful for whoever the kind heart was that nurtured this poor baby back to health. And for all who do the same thing.

This showed up in my Facebook timeline just now 😭 copied from the rescue: Unfortunately Cinna the leopard gecko passed away yesterday. He had been doing pretty well and had a good vet visit last week but still had not been eating by himself and was staying really thin despite daily syringe feeds. A necropsy showed pale, abnormal kidneys, so we think he may have had permanent renal damage from his chronic malnutrition and dehydration.

Thank you all for supporting Cinna, we were really hopeful that he would be able to recover and live a spoiled, happy life. We hope that he found some peace and comfort in his last two weeks with us.

I had to close my eyes. Omg, I don’t have a leopard gecko and never have. I admire them from afar so seeing this was such hell. So many people don’t deserve animals at all.

I’ve had my gecko Bobbi since my birthday back in November, she has been healthy and happy since then, I love her and seeing this genuinely hurts me, stuff like this genuinely pushes me to keep her in the best situation possible, have a nice day leopard gecko lovers, and keep your geckos happy and healthy 👍☺️

I have a leopard gecko, and we were really poor, and as a 6 year old, I thought this Liz saw me as a hero, and little did I know it saw me as a demon, now I’m 11, and I’m doing better with money, and he has better nourishment, and not too long ago, I started watching your videos, I started spending a lot of my money on my liz, and now he looks just as good as gizmo!

I'll admit that this video made me realize I hadn't been providing vit a. It's so easy to miss details in gecko care- I feed high quality insects, dust with a calcium+D3 supplement, I've got the arcadia lights, deep heat projectors....when I started we had day&night shit lights and heat mats, feeding only crickets, and not dusting- that was about 12 years ago. I've come a long way with my boys. I feel so bad that I was missing an element but I also know that in spite of it, my boys have been happy and healthy. And ive got a better vitamin mix coming soon!

I had a leopard gecko and her name was Lilly. She was soooo chill. She loved perching on my shoulder to keep warm. She also would fall asleep in my hands while i pet the side of her belly gently.❤
Edit: she also didn't mind me giving her lil nose and back a few kisses. (Gentle of coarse)

I've seen that same TikTok & it broke my heart. 😭 Im a firm believer in if you aren't willing to do the research & do whatever you need to to give any animal the best life they can have, just don't get one. Reptiles can be tricky, but with proper care, they are awesome. ❤

I think anyone who says you give too much information they’re kidding themselves. No matter what you collect the more information information the better you’re equipped to deal with things that arise.
