I mean, to be fair, 2% of DS owner is a MASIVE number. Specially since a lot of DS kids only owned Mario, Mario Kart in Mario Party

And also because that does NOT account for the massive number of people who played that game via R4, which, yeah those are not technically sales, but fot popularity they need to be accounted for

I love Spirit Tracks so much!!! It is so underrated! Zelda is such a sweet and sassy character, and her and Link's interactions are so funny and heartfelt. Zelda takes on such an important role, and she gets to come along for the entire adventure, even getting to possess suits of armour and fight! It deserves so much more love

The thing about BotW and OoT is they both had releases on multiple consoles. BotW had a release on Wii U as well as Switch, and OoT had two releases on GameCube (one as part of the Zelda Collection and one as part of the Master Quest remake), and also had a remaster on 3DS, meaning the actual numbers are wildly different based on how you count them.

I am so glad I am part of that 1.92% that bought Spirit Tracks. I vividly remember playing the demo in Gamestop before noticing that right next to it, was a copy of Phantom Hourglass.
I had so much trouble picking which of the two to bring home that my parents ended up buying me both, since it was nearing closing time.
That was my first time hearing of the Zelda franchise and I've been a loyal fan ever since.

It's a shame, really. Spirit tracks is my favorite game among the handhelds (keyword: favorite. Not objectively best) and I think it really deserved more recognition. The relationship between link and Zelda is really sweet and it's cool that you get to actually watch them fight together and spend the whole game side by side.

I'm at least happy that this game is getting a small resurgence online with the release of Echoes of Wisdom, with playable Zelda linking the two games. I'm a diehard fan for this game and if I have to, I'll carry the spirit tracks fandom on my back if it were to come to that! I'm gonna keep making fanart of this lovely little underrated game and I'm not gonna stop. TRAINS ALL THE WAY!!! 🚂✨✨

WW might've been helped by how GameCube didn't sell as well as Wii. Also totk should get higher as time passes...but may be cut off by the next console, which I just realized may have been what occurred with MM
