The Worst 3D Zelda game is The Wind Waker

Coming in at 6th is Majora’s Mask. It’s not a bad game by any means, I just think the other 3D Zelda games are better

Number 5 on the list is Skyward Sword. The only thing holding this game back is it’s controls.

The 4th best 3D Zelda game is Tears of the Kingdom. I did enjoy this game, but my expectations for it were way too high.

Coming in at 3rd is Twilight Princess. It introduced some great characters and the boss fights were awesome.

2nd on the list is Ocarina of Time. This game is incredible and is arguably one of the best video games of all time…

But the best 3D Zelda game is obviously Breath of the Wild

Windwaker is easily top 5. While I understand why people were disappointed at the time upon its release, desiring for the darker grittier Zelda, if only they played the game and released how somber and dark the underlying story actually is. It’s the cartoony aesthetic juxtaposed with the darker themes that make it such a great game, accompanied by fun gameplay and a great soundtrack.

Even Ganondorf, who once shared in their pantheon, is shocked at how the Gods seemingly cast aside the world and condemned its people to darkness. He’s left to reminisce and ponder on the capricious nature of the gods and the world’s fate.

The only Zelda game that is darker (dark, not edgy) is Majora’s Mask, which opposed to a world where the gods have seemingly abandoned their people, is a game of complete nihilism: “there are no gods. Your fate is inevitable and destruction awaits you, lies before you, is taunting you from above.”

If only the people who diss windwaker actually played it, they would realize that the narrative, themes, and dialogue are some of the best in the series.

Windwaker ganondorf is at least top 3 ganondorfs in the series.

All of these are incredible games and the margin is incredibly small between all of these. To give an example, BOTW barely beats out TOTK those are for personal reasons and a few missteps in TOTK’s development.

Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword are my favorites. They have the best dungeons by far. Wind Waker, Majora’s Mask, and Ocarina of Time all have amazing stories and lore. Breath of the Wild was the most impactful and Tears of the Kingdom was the most innovative. These are just my thoughts.

I actually really like seeing more people that also put wind waker as the lowest one. Yes, some parts of the game were good, but the combat, dungeons (except for earth temple), sailing mechanic and *TRIFORCE QUEST* were horrible
