My favorite mod so far on my Jeep is putting a battery in it because mine is one from a salvage auction and it didn’t run, but one I put a battery in it it ran

If you have a soft top jeep I highly recommend a set of best top two piece soft doors. They barely fit between your backseat and your tailgate when not in use. This allows you to have your jeep completely open yet you have everything you need to close it up if you get caught in a rainstorm or if it starts to get chilly.

Great items here! Just a note about removing the bar padding - Chrysler wasn't always consistent about painting the roll bars (since they were going to be covered) so if you are going to remove the padding be careful with the foam material until you know for certain you actually have something more than primer waiting on you! It's also a good idea to not destroy the material anyway because if you ever do want them back for whatever reason they are not always easy to get replacements for - particularly if you have one of of the LJ Unlimited models.

I've done everything on this list except I still have my roll bar sleeves on. My favorite mod though is a frame less soft top that can flip back over the front seats like the jks. Also, a simple mode that makes it look a lot better is removing the front bumper plastic pieces and replacing with flat ones. 👍

By far, the best cheap upgrade to a TJ, and likely all Jeep, "Universals, " are hood vent louvers. I really do not like the look of them and used to wrinkle my nose at people with them on their Jeep. But, one day a large branch fell on my hood of my jeep, leaving disgusting dents. The price of a new hood was even more disgusting than the dents. With a lot of reluctance, I decided to order aluminum vent louvers. I was not even going to make them functional. The purpose was to cover the dents and small holes left on the hood. But I forced myself to install them correctly and cut the vent holes, sealed the edges, and installed louvers. It looked better than huge dents and holes. But I did not like the look. However, I found that I could work on my vehicle instantly. Before, I had to open the hood for about an hour before it got cool enough to tolerate. Now, the engine compartment is instantly cooler than it was after waiting the hour to work on it. Everything is instantly touchable except the exhaust manifold. Hoses last way longer. Any oil residue does not bake onto the surfaces in the engine compartment, oil even does not turn as black when it is time to change it! The Jeep temperature indicator shows cooler all the time. I really can not believe the difference. Now, I appreciate the louvers. What I thought was just something cosmetic in poor taste, is actually extrmely functional, even important. Now, I appreciate the beauty of the louvers because they add so much benefits! I would have done it years ago if I knew just how good they are at cooling the engine compartment. I am glad that large branch landed on the hood of my beloved TJ years ago!

I enjoy watching your videos Adam. Like your TJ. Mine is a 2006 Midnight Blue Pearl. I treasure my TJ El Sultan. Bought with 5 miles brand new in 2006 only have 70000 and it’s a delightful experience to drive. Good job Adam

Dash cam rearview camera for both recording my trail rides and my vehicles safety, but most importantly, I can see behind me with my 45-inch spare tire behind my jeep

So sweet. I just picked up 98 tj first thing I did was paint the letters on tires red tinted the tail lights and repainted most of the plastics I still have more to do! It takes time but it's satisfying seeing all your work come together. You got a nice rig my man thanks for the vid/advice.

I took the sidesteps off mine and it looked great. I put them back on 2 weeks later after nearly falling out several times and forgetting they were gone !

Oh man, I've planned out dozens of mods for my TJ, lol.

Bullet radio antenna, a few decals, the armor bits that you mentioned, a locking gas tank lid, locking hood latches, a waterproof radio with Bluetooth, a bunch of storage mods, flat fender flares to give the illusion of more lift, led tail lights, reinforced tailgate hinges/tire carrier, floor mats for the front and cargo area, CJ style mirrors that go on the A-frame instead of the doors...

I don't know if I'll put them all on the same Jeep, but I have a long list, lol.

I was just given a 2000 TJ and it is still fully OEM stock. It's in excellent condition but does look old and tired. I need to do some refresh on it and this video gave me some great ideas. In fact, I want to do all 10 of these. Thank you so much. Great video!

Glad I watched your video, like the tub rail covers. Now I have a place I can lock the Smitybilt cargo net into and don't have to use the slot where the soft top side windows go in.

3 or 4 of those are already part of the plan for my '05. Great vids.

You can use a heat gun to bring back the new look to your plastic fenders

I’m a little late to the video but I love what you’ve done to your jeep. I really like “the look”. I’ve got a CJ7 that I’m updating and getting back into shape. I may be shopping for a TJ like yours in the very near future. Thanks for taking the time to make your videos. Good stuff! Keep it up!

The nitro ridge grapplers are great! I use them primarily on the road but when I do go off roading they haven’t let me down
