90s vehicles are proof the 90s were better times.

I had 328, 000 miles on my 2002 silverado when I got rid of it. Still ran great!

Love my old Honda lol

Those L31s are amazing engines. Other than the lower intake gaskets leaking coolant, they're pretty bulletproof. Even those 4l60Es stand up fairly well if treated right.

My parents just got rid of our 2000 Yukon, well over 300k miles. We had it from 50k miles. I learned how to drive in it, gonna miss it.

315k on my all original 99 obs yukon, identical to this one…original engine, trans, tcase and axles. Towed many heavy trailers and been offroad many times. Best $1000 vehicle I’ve ever had

Back when GM actually knew how to build trucks. 1998 was arguably the best year for the full-size GM trucks. Especially if it was powered by the tried and true (5.7) 350 V8.

I think you could still get the 2-door version of the Tahoe/Yukon as late as '99? (I have to double-check.) They certainly weren't the off-road monsters like their predecessors (73-91). But these trucks were still very capable, and the aerodynamics were certainly ahead of its time when they first came out in 1987 (as the new C/K pickup).

My stepdad had an 88 C1500 Silverado with the good ole 350 and a 700r4 automatic transmission. Regular cab long bed. When he sold it, the odometer hadn't worked in around 20+ years with over 300k miles and had in reality around a million miles. Was definitely a worn out truck but had about a quarter to half million more working miles.

These were and still are solid trucks. Solid as in surpassing Toyota in quality...GM back then was building trucks with pride.

I remember my old neighbours had a late 90s GMC Suburban. Different model, but people really forget about GM’s last great era that went on in the mid 90s-early 2000s, the 98 Tahoe in this video was no exception.

I’ve had 1993 then 1996 K2500 Suburbans, both bought new. Great vehicles, would like one now. I think QC went down the tubes with later generations.

As the original owner of a ‘97 Tahoe 2door LT Z71 I can wholeheartedly agree with this statement. It is rock solid, comfortable and still turns heads wherever I go.😊

Had a 95 tahoe that we used to tow the car to a different track, shop or car meet every weekend. From Southern Maryland but all of our turbo bmw friends were from ct, ny and nj. Car was also built in CT. Just needed some helper springs and airbags to help the sag when towing. Even drove it back n forth to dc everyday when i first got into the elevator union. And before all this my dad drove it to work for years. Ended up upgrading to an 06 2500 duramax which was way better at towing but that 2 tone burgandy n beige tahoe still holds a special place in my heart over a decade later. 😂
