Alec Baldwin Prosecutor: It Was Right To Dismiss Manslaughter Case

Special Prosecutor Erlinda Ocampo Johnson says she wanted to withdraw the charges against Alec Baldwin moments before the judge ruled to dismiss them. Johnson tells #CourtTV's Julie Grant why letting the actor go was the right decision.

Even before the final day of the trial, it was obvious to just about everyone that Ms. Johnson was working with an incompetent Special Prosecutor. Kudos to Ms. Johnson for everything she did in the name of justice in this trial.

Erlinda Johnson is a representation of what a criminal prosecutor should be, strong, forceful, polite, honest, just, and full of integrity. Kari Morrisey could learn a great deal from her (as could all present and future attorneys.
I applaud her for doing what was right and for taking a stand and not allowing herself to be coerced into something she didn't agree with.

Erlinda Ocampo Jones - the special prosecutor who shows that you can show that you have skills as an amazing prosecutor, get the case dismissed with prejudice, and still come out looking like you're the ethical boss of the courtroom. And the judge too! Shows that it is possible to be fair and impartial without being political or just simping for the prosecution. These two are what our system looks like when it's working, when we've had SO MANY high profile cases lately going terribly wrong in unprecedented ways. KM on the other hand, should be ashamed of how she prosecuted this. When she took the stand it was all excuses and finger-pointing about why there were so many failures to disclose. No excuses! It's been YEARS!!! Just disclose it!
