A new Wizards and Warriors animated lore series will talk about the history of Fallout Universe. In the first episode we will explain how the timeline of Fallout universe diverged from the real world one, the differences between two timelines, will talk about the Resource Crisis, the Resource wars, the Invasion of Canada by the US and the Sino-American War.

Another important note, the Transistor was invented in 2066 in the Fallout timeline by none other than Robco industries hence why the Terminal and Pib-Boy were all Robco products made with aid of the newly invented transistor.

Technically, the divergence in 1945 was the central divergence point; there were already some deviations before that, such as the creation of Nuka-Cola, Sunset-Sasperilla, and the various characters from Mothership Zeta.

I'm curious if the Divergence happened immediately or over decades. I believe its the later, you can find weapons developed in the mid 60s even.

While it’s never stated in the lore I always imagined the retro 1950’s aesthetic to be the result of a centuries long Cold War and red scare that kept the US from societally advancing

I believe that the fallout universe wasn’t trapped ina 1950-60 style. By the time of the recourse wars the American government pushed for this style to rekindle the old ways. I fully believe that the 70-90 style and culture still happened if but slightly less technologically savvy

A very weird timeline if you consider the USSR is just "chilling". It seems to me, they just stagnated and is left alone while eventually collapsing within itself because for intents and pursposes, the USSR is a very corrupt country even in our own timeline.
