Today, we are learning to swim. Well, more precisely, I’m teaching my wife to swim. She never learned to swim. We start with balancing the body, flutter kicks, doggy paddle/dog paddle and more! No diving lessons just yet but we are getting there. These swimming lessons were a lot of fun but at one point I had to rescue Avri on my back and swim her to the shore! So much happened when we just tried to cover the basics of swimming. Even though Avri grew up in Jamaica, the land of wood and water, she never mastered the art of swimming. So, here we are today, hoping that Avri can become a better and more confident swimmer! It was so hot today, so we decided to have a little fun pool day, splash some water around, swim a bit and have some fun before fall and winter come. This is a video for anyone learning to swim, young to old!

I'm from St. Vincent and the Grenadines and I can swim. I came from a family of fishermen so swimming is a must. You either learn on your own or they make you by taking you out in the deep and throw you over board and tell you to swim. Plus my aunt lived 5 minutes walk from the beach and I spent a lot of time with her. You're doing good just keep at it and don't let fear take over.

Avri you are doing really good in your swimming, the more you practice the better you will get, so keep practicing I know you can do it. I rate today’s swimming a 8 👍🏽. Simas you are such an encouraging husband teacher, patient and very thoughtful checking up on Avri when she got into trouble. I like jerk chicken and fish, got introduced to it about 20 years ago 👍🏽. Hi Avri and Simas. I can swim. It's so rewarding and relaxing. Your whole body gets at work during swimming sessions. I learnt doggie paddle first, then at a pool. Of course at the beaches here in Trinidad and Tobago I enjoy my swimming. Usually get comments from people like: that's a shark! 😁👌👊🥰 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹

I'm from the islands and I can't swim. You did good Avri. It's good you have a wonderful husband like Simas that is willing to teach you. Learn all you can. You never know if you find yourself in a storm or something and need to keep yourself afloat. I know that's extreme but just saying lol.
