I absolutely adore this scene. The way it’s shot and edited is just so perfect; you feel like you’re in the cockpit with Farrier gliding with no fuel remaining, or on the dock with Commander Bolton, waiting stoically for that howling dive bomber to swoop in and turn the whole world black. Nolan at his peak, no question.
