There is something so badass about how calmly he says, "Bandit 11 o'clock" (as if he's casually reporting a sighting) as a 109 thunders fucking by at 350mph.

I wish my teammates on War Thunder were this coordinated

I love how low key this dog fight is. No big fireball, no dramatic moves, just teamwork, a quick burst and a slow decent of the enemy plane into the ocean.
mixed with the rattle of metal and the pulsating soundtrack this scene is probably the best dogfight in modern cinema.

This pilots are so calm, there is a plane on his tail and he's like "hes on me", when I have a plane on my tail only in a video game I'm like "NO NO NO NO

Love how they brought Michael Caine in as an ode to the Battle of Britain.

He blew up.. just.. blew up..

This movie is the best depiction of what fuel hungry, claustrophobic rattletraps World War II era fighter aircraft really were.

I wish the whole movie was just about the planes.

I just love how the leader is just gone. They were so focused on that dogfigiht, they didnt even notice there squad leader as been killed.

Whats great about the scenes is that you can feel that they are using fidly machines and that any tug at the steering could change the course of the plane

One of Chris Nolans finest. The haunting sight of the wonderful Spitfire saling along the coast just before it landed was a masterpiece. I loved the film ( with all due respect for those who died there).

I’ve had a two seater WWII vintage Spitfire flight, one of the best experiences of my life. The sight of the elliptical wings from your window, the stomach churning manoeuvres, the sound, just knowing what you’re experiencing, the safety briefing! You can’t believe how cramped and rattly they are.

I love how their voices were actually shaky by the plane engine.

I can see Nolan's effort to make this as accurate as possible in this scene. The Spitfire used in 1940 was the MK1, with 8 7.7mm machine guns. The one used in the movie was a later model with 2 20mm cannons and 4 7.7 machine gun. Nolan has requested modified the late model by cut of the cannon's barrel to make these planes look as close as the MK1 model as possible.

every war thunder player was cringing when he was shooting with the guy directly in his sights instead of in front of him lol.

This movie is the visual experience movies SHOULD be. I was fortunate to see it in 70mm, be sure to see it that way or IMAX.
