He compounded his error by dropping the gear during the go around. Flaps up slowly gear up for a go around.

They didn't "catch" that drone in any way shape or form - it flew right into the snare - leading me to think it was planned

Wow, that C5 dropping flares was a big disappointment. It was incompetently framed, and couldn't capture the beauty of the operation.

These are the kind of incidents that are raising aircraft insurance rates. So is single pilot IFR by non-professional pilots.

The last thing to do would be dropping the gear at this phase of landing. I say this is staged and by prior arrangements to video the event. It’s still cool to watch but this was not an incident averted. Planned for sensational responses.

Why does this seem different from previous daily dose?

The Blue Angels don't do "stunts." In this case, their version of a "landing break, " something many military aircraft pilots do when returning. Just sayin.'

Putting the wheels down to make a go-around doesn't make sense. You're cutting a lot of your clips too short and it's irritating.

The flairs did not come from the C-5. They came from an aircraft behind and above the C-5
