If you screw up as a pilot, somebody probably caught it on camera 😂

I love the look of the old trijets! The old Lockheed L1011 Tristars were iconic trijets beauty. The Trijets look almost futuristic, but also rather vintage. They are paradoxes to me.

He was undoubtedly watching traffic on the runway thinking it wasn't going to clear so was just prepared for a go around. He for sure knew his gear was still up.

Must have been a reason for the delay, there would have been alarms sounding long before the gear was down.

I’m not a pilot, but I think that helicopter did a loop, not a flip! That was so cool.

Here’s why the gear came down late. The captain experienced a partial medical incapacitation. The first officer intervened and saved the day. That’s why you have two pilots at the controls. You may cease your bashing now and instead commend the FO for a nice save.

Here, let me fix the title, “pilot forgets landing gear till last second.”

0:08 wouldn't be the first time FedEx forgot something

GPWS would have triggered a Master Caution & Warning alert of "Landing Config." Not extending the LG was intentional.

Not sure about big jets, but I know with smaller planes they'll some times keeping going above your gear speed for longer than usual for traffic spacing. It makes it so you effectively have to "slam on your brakes" all right at the end

Hi!! Very nice. Correction, that was a DC-10, a DC-10-30. The -40 is like the ER where its range is extended and it'll have a middle two-wheeled landing gear. The MD-11 is the same aircraft only amplified a little with sharp looking winglets and a standard two-wheeled middle landing gear and extended range. Production ended in 2001.

Luckily, nobody was injured for this one.

They didn't forget, they were landing in Chicago, and didn't want to land on cinder blocks....😅

One of the first flights by the space shuttle, the nose gear didn't deploy until the last second.

The stress on the rotor blades at the bottom of a flip is so tremendous!

About the first MD11 video, I don't even think it was forgotten, because if we consider the speed of the aircraft and the distance to land, the landing gear had plenty of time to be activated!!

0:35 I’m giving the benefit of the doubt on this one. Not sure they forgot. Conditions seemed quite blustery and can’t be sure what weight they were carrying and they might have been leaving any extra drag until late for 🤷‍♂️ reasons 😂

1:34 Is this the footage of the one that has been talked about a lot recently?

On the FEDEX, an aural warning system warns crews below a certain altitude( 500ft, 300ft?) for configuration. Too low flaps or Too low gear, go around. If your getting to the gear here best go around( what else did I forget?), and make sure final landing checklist is completed.
