You can't beat old school British. They taught properly back then. I had that board with letters and numbers as a child. Pictured on the cover.

Soviet union physics books is what I call super hard because germans and Soviets are known for pushing their limits
Pure mathematics and higher physics are also super hard

Pls review...trigonometry by SL loney, IA Maron calculus...i hv seen u never reviewed those soviet era Russian maths books of Mir Publishers...infact, they dont contain any theory...only problems .

Algebra (just numbers dress up as letters) is not hard at all, impossible to make a "hard" book about...unless math is not your thing.
