for a 75 ps car, this Mazda is doing awesome on the highway

Mazda 2 G75 has 75 HP at 3600 rpm - and then constantly from 3600 up to 6000. The power curve is "trimmed". So - it is easy possible to "tune" it up to original 90 HP. This engine is not similar to other 75 HP engines. It has great torque and "trimmed power curve" ;)
It is same like Mazda 3 engine G120 - it has 120 HP - but from 4000 rpm !!! (I have Mazda 3 G120 and it is GREAT and enough powerful car)

75 hp? Y como le hacen para llamarle sport? Un Spark tiene 82 hp, osea haber alguien expliqué porque es deportivo???

This Mazda is an absolute disaster! A 37-year-old Opel Kadett 1.3 LS with the same power (75 PS) but much less torque (101 Nm vs 135 Nm) and less valves (8V vs 16V) can achieve 176 km/h (real speed measured by precise instrument) which would be around 180 - 185 km/h on the speedo!
This Mazda could only manage 175 km/h (based on the Speedo) which is around 170 km/h GPS.
