Mazdas are very underrated cars. You'll need to drive one to understand why it's so good

I was so shocked of how good this car drives and handles! Its quick, nimble and quite practical too. This is the kind of car that I would like to grow old with 😂

I love his enthusiasm for this wonderful car. When I had to replace my Mini Cooper with bJapanese reliability, this gem fit my budget band my taste for great driving. Unfortunately we don't have the 2 in the USA so I bought it as the Toyota Yaris, which is just a Mazda 2 with a Toyota nose. Low environmental impact, fun driving and great to look at. Thank you for a great car video!

The level of quality, technology, and driving experience in the Mazda2 is nowhere seen in its competition.

Own one and absolutely love the handling !! I did mod on the sound proofing on doors and roof and it improves the overall experience even more

What a lovely little car. I'm jealous you actually get the real Mazda2 while in the States we have to settle for it being rebadged as a Toyota which I wouldn't have a problem with if it weren't for the fact that I think the Mazda2 looks better as a Mazda. I also wish they offered the hatchback with a stick.

I’ve owned a mazda 2 with retrofit auto cruise and gps navigation. Drove it for 7 years before I sold it. I had to say I missed the car. It served me well over the years.

The only thing if you (2nd hand buyers) need to be aware of; the digital meter on the centre might have an issue. At least it happened to mine. 6th years of owning, 75 become 15. But theres a HUD (and it is still working) so its fine.

Honestly this owner is really good in marketing this car. Very convincing, what a natural persuasive personality

I have a Mazda 2 DJ model 2014 6 speed auto with the optional higher compression 81KW engine. I live in Brisbane Qld Australia. It has always been a very good car, with the only real issue being that rediculous stop/start system. That system costs me a new starter motor at 60, 000 and I have now started on my third battery at 76.000. Mazda here wanted $1, 400 AUD for the new starter motor, but I got one from another service shop for $600 fitted. The car does have a strange noise in the steering and nobody can find out what it is .. even though two new struts have been fitted. I simply don't bother about it any more !!! The noise sounds like a sticky rubber washer.
One thing why did you worry about that boot size on your trip? ... all you needed to do was put the seats down and then you have a gigantic space for all your luggage. I have carried all kinds of large objects in the back of my Mazda 2. Even a 58 inch TV in its new box.
But now Mazdas are very expensive with all the electronic so called safety gear they have put in. I don't need a system to stop me running into the rear of the car in front of me or running off the left side of the road etc??? After driving for about 63 years, I most certainly don't want a system to do my reverse parking for me ???
These systems should be optional so people can get a cheaper car without them.

I love this kind of honest review of car ownership by motor journalists. They should really make lots of videos on this.

Driving 2015 also, I did the cheap upgrade to audio, use the 'magic audio cable' method. It's bearable after that upgrade.

Been following your videos since you started discussing the Mazda 3, I loved how you are so passionate about design and your focus on the feel of the car. My first Mazda was the same as yours. It was a very difficult decision to sell my 2 but I must say that the 3 is the definitive progression for the brand.
