my obgyn said the insertion wouldn’t hurt at all - it then proceeded to be the worst pain i’ve ever felt in my life thus far. I felt nauseous and couldn’t even stand because i was shaking so bad. I’m terrified to get it out but this video made me feel better. I wish we had sweeter obgyn’s like you

I got my IUD removed yesterday and it was so much easier than getting it put in. I had the kyleena. I had all the worst symptoms for all 5 years. Glad for it to be gone but I am appreciative for what it did for me all that time

As someone going through the mirena crash for the last few months (and yes its a real thing and it sucks the life out of you) i wanna thank you for reaffirming that whole foods, nutrients and self care like exercise is key in getting through rough months as alot of us suffer from autoimmune issues during and after removal thanks to this horrid device.

Thank you for saying it is painful to have them inserted, my doctors said i would mostly be uncomfortable and have a little pain, which was a lie for me

Omg thank goodness it's that easy.. I had my first IUD put in today and it was so incredibly painful I didn't even think about the removal I prepared myself for absolute hell again and already thinking that I'll be left with it inside me forever 😂 please god let it be that easy to remove for me 😇

Thank you for this video. I had a paragard removal attempt on the 24th but when she pulled it out, one of the top arms stayed inside me. I had an ultrasound and now I have to have hysteroscopy. I'm so nervous and wish I had never gotten an IUD in the first place. I joined a lawsuit against the pharmaceutical company that made the IUD so this is not as rare as people think.

First IUD I had was Skyla. It was amazing! I got a very light period probably once every 3 months. Little to no symptoms. When I went in to get it replaced, they told me Skyla wasn't available so I got Kyleena. When they took Sklya out, I cramped right away and It didn't go away for like 10 minutes. The doctor told me to push through so she could place in Kyleena. I really don't like Kyleena. My symptoms have become worse, I have chronic migraines now and varied symptoms every month. I guess the only good thing is that my period is regular. I know exactly when it's coming. Getting this removed tomorrow, I'm so ready! 🙌

I’ve had the copper IUD for a week and am getting it taken out bc the cramps are killing me. Almost crying and hurts to move. Getting it put in was the most painful thing I have ever experienced, I passed out on the way home in the middle of crying in pain.

Update: I got it taken out after 5 days of having it. Again, excruciating pain. 20 mins on the way home I was having a full on panic attack and couldn’t relax any part of my body bc I was in so much pain. After laying on a heating pad at home for about 10 minutes the 5 day pain was completely gone.
I’ve heard it doesn’t hurt nearly as bad to take it out for some people. Looking back, it was horrible and I’d never recommend it to anybody just bc of that traumatic experience.
The dr who took it out was very rough with my body when she opened my legs, didn’t give me a warning and just ripped it out and I was screaming in pain and said something along the lines of “hope you feel better have a good day”then walked out. I could hardly walk to the car. My husband was there every step of the process thankfully.
They really need to knock us ladies out before inserting them.

Thank you so much for this.
I had an awful experience with a doctor asking for advice to remove IUD as I kept getting BV and doctor said to me I was unhygienic :( when that’s so untrue ! Anyways I trusted my body and got it removed yesterday🙏🏽 I really hope that this helps with this BV issue as it’s becoming so embarrassing for me as I have a long term relationship

I'm getting my Mirena taken out after 7 years. Originally they told me it was good for 5, but they kept extending the expiration date. I decided to give my body a break though before I have another one inserted in the near future.
