From tropical storm to Cat. 5 hurricane in less than 24 hours! That's crazy stuff.

Acapulco was a wonderful place. I worked for a major airline all my life, and Acapulco, of all my hundreds of trips around the world, will always have my heart, it was my favorite place to spend my time off. I am totally devastated for the people, who are some of the nicest people I've met in my lifetime. It was a magical place and it was that way because the people of Acapulco made it that way, kind and generous people. With some help, and yes, it will take time, I believe it will come back to what it was. I firmly believe that because the Mexican people stick together and they will make it happen, with a little help. I plan to do what I can to help these people, they deserve it.

I went to Acapulco on my honeymoon; it was such a lovely place. Sad to hear of the death and destruction.

I have honestly been devastated and crying as I am writing this, the Mexican people are the most loving friendly people, I travel to Mexico all of the time and always have the best time going there. I am so sorry this happened to God bless them all. I love you Mexico.

Unfortunately the coverage of the mass shootings in Maine is taking aid away from Mexico. Hurricane Otis was a monster, something that can't be controlled. Hope the people of Mexico recover

My prayers go out to my Mexican indigenous family. Stay positive and safe. I've been there and done that. Two categories 5 hurricanes two weeks apart. Not a good feeling to have. 🙏🏼🇻🇮

The real question is “where will millions of people move to when all island and coastal areas are no longer habitable? “

Visited Acapulco two years ago for my cousins wedding her husband is from there. It had a nostalgic romantic feel to it that felt magical especially at night fall. God bless the locals as they pick up the pieces and rebuild💛🌴🏗🚧

Hard to tell the difference between when we’re looking at storm or war damage
