Birth, the worst feeling in the world. Holding newborn immediately after birth, the absolute best feeling in the world.

I love how no one is talking about the fact that people put cocaine in rats.

Dear pregnant women and new moms. Don’t worry if this isn’t your experience, it’s okay. If you feel dread, horror, loneliness and darkness immediately after birth (or even much longer), you are not dysfunctional. Sometimes ppd, ppa and ppp make us think we are losing our marbles or homicidal. I wish someone told me this before I experienced it. Talk with your OB. This WILL pass over time and you WILL find your way through. 💖

Not all mothers have a direct connection with their babies when they're first born

This is all good but pregnancy and childbirth are still terrifying.

Our boobs start filling up with milk literally seconds before baby starts screaming for milk. I noticed this pattern with my firstborn. I dont recall ever being told this is a thing. I remember one day my son was sleeping in the living room while I was getting something in my room. We were at least 20 feet from each other. I couldn't see him he couldn't see me. Next thing you know I feel my breasts getting hard and full. I would say it was at 3 seconds my son started wailing. That was the moment I realized this is real! We have impressive powers

I'm 14 weeks pregnant with my 1st baby. I have so many feelings and emotions. I'm nervous bc I'm gonna be a single mom an I have no family or friends where I moved too. It's gonna be hard and I'm probably going to struggle some but I got this for us. All of this is going to make me stronger. I got this.

I never wanted children until I got pregnant, then its like my brain made a 180 degree turn and all I think about now is my baby boy 😍😍 really odd feeling of joy when I think about him, as if he was my purpose to live

I don't understand this because I'm a male. But, I love my Mom, and my sisters. Thank you for making me live. :)

Sadly the mother sometimes don’t ever develop a connection with their baby. Some actually have resentment. It’s quite sad

Lucky are those mommies who don't experience post-partum depression, it affects a woman and her mind in the worst way possible 😔😭. Mommies need love and support too❤

The feel good hormone release right after birth make total sense. I gave birth to my first child 15 months ago completely unmediated. It HURT. Worst pain I ever felt in my life. But as soon as I heard my daughter cry & saw her, all of the pain was gone. 15 hours of pain gone in seconds. I honestly don’t even remember the pain enough to describe what it felt like other than painful. I was just so fixated on her & making sure she was okay that I didn’t even care that I had a second degree tear. I tried to stand up to get her right after lol
