Steps:

- Searching for youtube videos inside a channel is a useful feature of youtube on PC but unfortunately it is not yet a feature of the youtube app.

- Then go to the channel that you would like to search within.

- Tap on the dropdown arrow to the right of playlists.

- Tap ‘search’

- You can now search for whatever you would like to search within the channel.

2 years have passed and still no search in the app

I just tried that (October 2023). Pulled up my own channel as you did via web instead of the app. Tapped the arrow, tapped "Search". Typed a typical topic for the channel. I could either tap "Done" or "Return". Tapping either of those resulted in videos that are not on my channel. So this "Search" option searches all of YouTube, not just the channel.

This does not work on an iPhone in safari. I tried desktop and mobile in Safari and it does not work. All I can get our search results for all channels, not a specific channel.

I even tried Google Chrome, and even that didn’t work. It does not work using an iPhone and any web browser that I have been able to use nor does it work with the YouTube mobile app.

P.S. If you use Mac, this works with Chrome, but not Safari. I thought I had it working for Chrome on mobile, too, but now that I try it, it fails. I'd be interested to hear if anyone gets it to work on mobile (or was my success just a 4AM hallucination, lol.)

I used to be able to do this on my phone but it won’t let me anymore. If type something in the search from drop down and it comes up blank.
Any idea why?

There is no search tab or bar available in the channel. All other tabs like community, play list etc available but no search tab.
