Thanks for not bullying and gaslighting the 2D creature any more

Your calming demeanor helps cushion the impact of the horrifying truths you've been dropping on us.

The mere fact that you went through the effort of knitting the 4d slices. Any other person would've picked some random balls.

She is so goddamn powerful that she can contact a 4D creature and schedule a ball-meeting with it and also be able to hold the ball in her hand.

She could be explaining literally anything and I would listen

According to _The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy_, there are hyper-intelligent multidimensional beings, which, when they intersect our 3D world, we call "mice".

I like the analogy that 2D beings would struggle to understand a 3D world in the same way that we 3D beings struggle to understand a 4D world.
Then imagine a 2D world where (ants) crawl across a sheet of 2D paper.
Then a raindrop falls and suddenly appears on the 2D sheet of paper. The 2D creatures wonder where the drop of water came from.
We can understand the 2D creatures grappling with the sudden appearance of the drop of water - where might it have come from?
In our every-day lives we don't get many sudden introductions.

The 2D character will see a line popping out of nowhere that gets longer and then gets shorter until it disappears again.
They have no clue what it was, but we know it was a ball we pushed through their universe.
The question then becomes that what is the object in 4D really like that we can observe only as an ball getting bigger and smaller as it passes through our dimension?

When I was a kid, I used to have a reoccurring nightmare in which I was stuck in a 2D space. It’s incredibly hard to explain, but it was also unbelievably painful and scary. It wasn’t like being inside a box, it was more like being stuck inside a square.

I think you captured my heart in the 3rd and 4th dimension.

As a 4th dimensional creature I can assure you that the ball is still visible.

Edit: OMG😳 so many likes !! Maybe someday you all can visit my home in 4th dimension

There is something mesmerizing about how sweetly you explain it.

That explains why I randomly bump into things no one else does. I thought I was just clumsy.

The scary / amazing thing to think about is what if matter actually exists in multiple dimensions already? So something like the pen on your desk could be bigger than your house, or the size of a big water bottle, but we can only perceive its existence in 3D space as a small hand held item and the remaining dimensions are all hidden from us...

This simple explanation helped me finally understand the 4th dimension.
