I always feel like a dumbass because a lot of times I don't know the terms people use because when I learn them at school, for some reason, I just can't remember them. Until I actually worked with it myself and then I can remember. So it's actually really nice to hear that even you didn't know what people were talking about in the beginning. Makes me look at things more positive instead of talking myself down. Thank you for that

Really liked this video to be honest.

I have programmed during my teen years with C++/PHP and SQL but went to University to a really different area and got kinda away from it. 8 years later I realize that I hate my area and what I am doing (althouth I really loved studying it in University).
Last year, I got drawn into Unity by chance and started watching a few tutorials and trying a few things. Now, 8 months later, I find myself loving what I am doing, with a clean portfolio website displaying games I have developed and a CV ready to be sent everywhere! The real issue is the current world situation(virus), so I guess I'll wait a few weeks/months for it to calm down in my country.

Watching a pro programmer like you talking about your vulnerabilities and insecurities during your journey as a Game Dev really gives some perspective and encouragement to all of us.
Thank you very much :)

I am inspired a lot by your channel. I started working on Live Stream & Point Cloud Viz topics few months ago. Recently, I planned to publish more free tutorial for beginners.

Thanks for the very very interesting video, Jason!
I was a big fan of Vanguard back in the day. I was in the beta and played for a few years.
I still think it was a very good game. I loved the monk, disciple and druid classes.

I love that video! You could also drive more deeply about that, and show how to create a tool that will be used in a real-world scenario.

This was awesome! I found your video because I am wanting to get into game development through making dev tools with C# ! Do you have any tips or more videos for making game tools with C#?

Have you found most tools are developed as completely separate applications each with its own look and feel, or do most companies try to develop the tools with a consistent interface or better yet as plugins for a single application?

Have you slowed your development of your architecture course?

I see a lot of parallels :)

I work at an insurance company and have been building up a suite of tools for a long time. Anybody in the company can install it, then open particular tools through a context menu or send to

It started as things to make my life easier. I'd also be working with testers/analysts and make things for them

(I say I, but others have worked on it as well, especially in the beginning, another guy and I built up the foundation)

It's been a fun unofficial project over the years, fun to see other people benefiting from it

I was just asking about this during your last stream with Jason Storey

Looking forward to hearing about the workflow of working with a live server. I'm looking into doing a self hosted, dedicated server. Found a neat guide on how to FTP your unity server build but it would be cool if you could go into things like what code belongs in the server build specifically? How should the client communicate with it? Is it done using things like websockets or something similar to post and get requests? etc
I plan to do something like player ranks and leaderboards so I would need a DB for user data; Any information on how to handle the database interaction stuff would be nice too!

You seem to be the best person to ask this: I want to create a game with quiz funktionality. The user is supposed to create his own courses within the game. Is this possible with unity/unreal/gadot? Is it the right way to do this or are there better tool to get this job done?

I have no idea how you made a tool and I couldn't find a tutorial on it either
