This is perhaps the most illusive fan project I've ever seen, its gone in and out of extinction maybe five times now. Pretty unnecessary imo, to give no updates for such a long time. Even if they came out to say they're not as interested anymore and working on it very slowly, that's more respectable than radio silence.

Since Shadow is suppose to be 50 years older than Sonic, it only makes sense having him be a playable character in a Mega Drive game.

I got really hype seeing this.

Very likely unintentional, but I like how the model subtly snaps into place when transitioning in the diffrent angles on the half-pipe, it's like how the 2D sprites on the Genesis swapped to a 45° angle of the run animation got preserved as a subtle snap on the 3D model and geometry.

Special levels will be very difficult. Make sure that the rings are visible a little further, otherwise it will be impossible to play at all.

it’s been 3.5 years since sonic 2 hd has been in development, it seems that they abandoned their own project again. i seems that there’s not going to be another update on the game anytime soon.
