Can't wait to see ma boi on the big screen, just hope that they can keep his backstory mostly the same.

As for the third movie, I really hope that they loosen the movie's "kid-friendliness" since Shadow's backstory is highly dependent on that element. Especially when G.U.N shoots "you-know-who"...

Update: When I said, "loosen" I don't mean that the next Sonic movie should go complete "Doom Eternal" like violence with blood and guts everywhere. Believe me, even as a young adult seeing too much blood and gory in a film doesn't make me feel good to this day. And if I still had the urge to watch films with this type of content, then Internet or streaming services already had a colorful amount choices such as Dead Space Downfall, Castlevania, Resident Evil, and so on. All while Sonic not being one of them and that's completely fine.

What I mean is since Shadow will be in the next film, maybe just maybe the film might need to go PG-13 so they didn't restrict themselves to portraying Shadow's resentment towards humanity and Gerald Robotnik descending to madness knowing his grandaughter was killed which eventually led him to his Doomsday Plan if the next film decided to go SA2 route. In other words, faithful to the source material while being kid-friendly. To some of you that still think that dark/depressing themes do not belong in kid films or shows, then I'm afraid you haven't watched enough cartoons before saying that considering even the Classic Disney films explored these said themes all while being tamed for the audience. Just to let you know.

According to the director, whose name I can't recall, he stated that Shadow would be a different kind of adversary for Sonic. Sonic had to befriend and earn Knuckles' trust, however Shadow has many emotional problems that Sonic will have to face with him.

Every Sonic Fan the second they Heard 50 Years immediately knew what that meant that we would finally be getting our cool little Anti Hero in the next Movie and i can't wait to see what they do with him hope we also get Amy Rose and Rouge the Bat which i feel we will as Amy is one of the biggest characters in the Sonic Franchise and Rouge played a big role in Sonic Adventure 2 not too mention she helps with Shadow's growth becoming one of his closest friends
