That original fight between Sonic and Knuckles is notorious for being underwhelming and over too soon.

I honestly love how detailed their characters looked even back in those Genesis days. Sonic looked handsome in 3D animations and 2D sprites while the movie version looks hilarious

Also side note the person that was chosen to play kunckles for this movie sounds excellent and also is really good at selling the tone of the character and overall his entire personality as a whole

So um, my theory from the scene when Sonic and Knuckles fight, maybe that’s the part when Eggman steals the Master Emerald making Knuckles join Sonic’s side like The actual game

Would be neat to make an update to this video when this movie drops on digital. The entire island where the master emerald was stored was pretty much based off Labyrinth Zone from Sonic 1 as well
