I have always viewed the holy trinity like water. Water has three states: Solid (Ice), liquid (water), and gas (water vapor). They are all the same, but not - just in different states. Even creation speaks to his existence.

People like to use the water analogy but water cannot be a solid, liquid, and gas all at once, a much better way of looking at it would be to view God as fire. The father is the flame, Jesus is the light, and the Holy Spirit is the heat. They are one.

This topic reminds me of a conversation I had with a non-Christian friend.
He claimed that Jesus was not God because he prayed.
" If he was God he wouldn't pray to himself. "
I explained that was God the son ( physical body) communicating with God the Father ( intellectual mind).
He responded by saying that was nonsense and the Trinity is rubbish.
It was getting close to evening and I asked if he was hungry.
" Yes. "
" How do you know you're hungry?"
" I can feel it. "
" Isn't that you, your physical body, communicating a need to you, your intellectual mind?"
That's when he ended the conversation.

I would refrain from necessarily saying "three entities" and rather say "three persons, as one entity". God bless.

When Christianity was brought to Rome the Church was trying to figure out how to convert pagans who were polytheists (worshippers of many Gods) They changed the shabbat to Sunday, day of the Sun God. They brought Christmas, the winter solstice, day of the winter God. And for the cherry on top, they introduced the trinity, 3 Gods that are 1. They forged in verses to support this claim like 1 John 5:7, which are found in NONE of the oldest manuscripts.

I always look at like this.

I am, in a sense, my mind
I am, in a sense, my body
I am, in a sense, my soul

But while they are not to be confused with one another they all simultaneously make up who I am.

I’ve understood this fact since it was taught to me in 5th grade, due to the wonderful nuns and lay people that taught me. If we can’t understand this, it’s ok, because we have a finite mind, and cannot fully understand many aspects of God’s glory, power, and righteousness.

It’s just like how I can, being a mere human, be several aspects of my self… so how much more possible would it be for the father of all creation to be that way too?

This Polytheism at it’s core which is thanks to the Church that built Christianity with the heavy influence of Aristotle, Hellenistic, and Roman paganism. So glad I serve the mighty one of Israel, Yahawah(YHWH), who shares His esteem with no other and declares from His own mouth He is the only AL(EL in modern Hebrew)!

Also, let us all keep in mind that every time you saw The Lord it was the wicked replacement of the Hebrew YHWH which is only attributed to the Heavenly Father and even the son declares separation in power and esteem from his Father YHWH.

My religious studies teacher had a very good way of explaining this to us
