At fifteen my allowance was $15.00 a week for mowing the yard, washing the cars, keeping the house neat and pulling weeds. It was less than that when I was a younger kid, but 15 dollars if I saved up bought me some killer CDs, SNES games and guitar songbooks where my 5 dollar a week allowance from ages 9 to 14 unless I saved bought me a comic book, a candy bar, baseball cards and a soft drink and depending on the change three balls on pinball and three chances on video arcade machine.

The best thing you could do for her is to take her to India and spend a lot, a lot of time at Mother Theresa's hospital in Calcutta and leave her there for a year. She will change, on her own, and begin to understand.

I never met my father but my mother kept me, raised me, even after she got married to another man. I’m happy I wasn’t aborted, or give up for adoption. At least I know my mother. She did her best and so did my adopted father and family.
