I don’t leave the grey open for 2 reasons. Number 1 is that I use it to flush the hose after dumping the black tank and 2nd is that if you leave it open you can run the risk of the septic smell flowing back through the pipes and into the cabin which you will NOT want to have in your RV

This is something that we do so often that we forget others may not know. Great tip.

Never leave the grey open, use it to "flush" after the black tank dump. Always dump full tanks if you can.

We dont leave the gray open. You need it to rinse the hose after the black goes out.

How do I know when tank is close to full? I just set an RV for full and left both valves open though.

If you leave the hose lying on the ground for extended periods of time, the holes will develop pinhole leaks and eventually crack wide open.

I need a video that shows how to hook the bayonets ends to the actual hose itself. My tote came all separate. 😢

Well you never leave any dump valve open. You need the gray water to flush the black hose.

Wrong your supposed to leave them both closed mainly for the reason when you do pty your tanks you do the black tank first then the grey water to help clear the black waist out of the hose
