@PresidentPimp You SHOULD be proud of you National team! They played awesome. THAT is PRECISELY why Canadians were so THRILLED with the win! As a Canadian, I've watched my OWN kids, fight, or at the very least, jostle on the ice., but once the game is over, shake hands, chit-chat in the parking lot about their "social plans" for the weekend. What happens on the "ice" STAYS on the ice! Mutual respect!

@PresidentPimp You guys had an awesome team for sure! If Canadians weren't fearful of losing the gold(that's how we look at it), we wouldn't have had parties in the streets from coast to coast to coast!!! I DO however know how expensive it is for some American kids to play the game. Our leagues do not however play on outdoor ice. Only in our back yards, some neighbourhood rinks, for extra ice time. My kids always had 2 pairs of skates. One for our rink, and one for their league games. :)

@seronic Yeah man I would watch if it was on. I don't understand why NHL Network doesn't carry it considering they are not airing live right now. I just had to watch 2010 1st round Det vs. Pho for the 100th time today. I do love the all levels of international hockey championships, but since they are not aired here I can't watch them. We didn't even get the world juniors until 2 years ago when NHL Network came to the states and aired it.

@blizzes08 Canadians do not claim hockey as their own, in fact were happy to see other countrys get involved, but you cant tell me that we don't dominate hockey, in fact we do in every aspect. We won the most gold medals at the olymbics both and the men and women competition. The practise level here for hockey is huge, most competitive junior levels here have over 6 practises a week. We love hockey here, we talk about it all the time, Why is canada hockey? Cuz we have the most passion for it

@jediscum11 I am a little bitter you're right! If it was anyone other than Crosby and if the goal was better I would have been fine with it! The U.S. obviously played better than expected, so I am proud of them. The majority of people didn't think the U.S. would medal this olympics including myself. Crosby is hated in the U.S. for so many reasons I can't even explain them all and it's not because we envy him. I'm sure you know the most common reasons from on ice antics to marketing reasons.

@hennaert Because it's still fun to watch, but not as important as a cup. When Cindy Crybaby scored I was clapping because no one expected the U.S. to medal even me. Most people were picking them to finish around 6th place because hardly everyone on the team was young and we had no Leetch, Modano, Roenick etc. It was a great win for the U.S. even though they lost the game, but I was also happy that the NHL was about to start back up. I like Doughty, Iginla, Pronger, etc so it was still cool!

@blizzes08 btw the reason you guys are better than us at most sports is because the population of USA is 350 million, canada's population is 30 million. SO its normal that they are going to be better at sports because they have more athletes, and we still dominate any other country in hockey.

@jtbc11 say that when one of your cities is nick-named hockey town.
