'Cost' - History Will Be Made

"History comes at a cost." featuring Steve Smith's famous own goal in the 1986 NHL Divisional Finals. I made this to resemble the new format of the "History will be made" promos the NHL are doing this year for the playoffs, enjoy.

Should have included Gretzky handing the cup to Smith after they won in '87. That would have made it perfect.

That's the way it goes. who doesn't make mistakes? That's life, riding high in April, shot down in May. Steve Smith did get his name on the cup the next year.

I was disappointed that year and asked myself " who the heck is the young defenseman?".
Following year that mistake was erased...Oilers won again and he was first player to be given by his captain Wayne Greztky, Stanley Cup.

And on Smith's own birthday, no less! At least history will remember him! Him & Bill Buckner & Mickey Owen
