WElll....... I never thought this would happen.. I bet a lot of you are shocked because I never really said anything about this before. This year I learned a lot of things of who I am and what I want. Some day I may be back at Disney but I had to make this decision about my life.. I hope y'all understand and are ready for my future. Always be thinking about yourself in growth situations and what is best for you. I'm going to risk some things and go after what makes me happy. I'm excited about my future and can't wait to see how I grow, this is a new beginning and journey for me..

Thanks for all the support on this video and life changing decision ❤️

You're a young man. You made a very intelligent decision. Most large companies do not honor nor even care about employee devotion, any longer.

I'm so glad that my hubby and I had the chance to meet you at Hollywood Studios back in October!!! We have since also "divorced" ourselves from Disney by selling our timeshare so we have no plans to return to Orlando or DisneyWorld for probably the rest of our lives. At 26, you have your whole life ahead of you so you have plenty of time to try new ventures, make mistakes, learn from them, and move forward. We are in our early 60's and even if we have plenty of life left in us, we have outgrown Disney and felt that the magic is gone because it's just so darn expensive and we agree that the Cast Members need to be paid more for all the hard work they do. If Abigale Disney says the CM are treated poorly, she is correct. Best of luck to you Kyle and we'll "see you" on YouTube again. Hugs and High Fives, Steve and Stephen

My first job was at WDW at age 16 as a Casual Regular, working weekends, all school breaks full-time, even through summer (1979-1980). I worked the Tickets department and loved it. I left just before graduating high school. About 2 years later, I was hired at an Advertising Agency and my boss had been an Art Director at WDW. Of course ex cast members always share why we left. He told me, “I can’t feed my family on free ticket books and pixie dust.” Yes, back then we had all kinds of ticket media and we received the ticket books at Christmas, etc. Anyway, we all have to make our career decisions as you have. Disney is wonderful for so many reasons, until your personal dreams aren’t possible. So congratulations on choosing your dreams. You have all you need within you to fulfill them!

Definitely appreciate this video. I worked with Disney for the college program twice. I was there earlier this year before covid shutdown Disney as a character Performer. I had the same feeling you did a week before we got the talk that we were being let go. I shifted my focus on YouTube and am developing myself as artist. It's definitely not easy but I know you'll do great things. Here's to be a better year🥂 MC

“Do what you love” is so important nowadays. We only live once. Zero regrets.

You do what's best for you my friend. I was with Disney for 17 years, I know how it goes. We all support you and will always be here no matter what you do. Super excited to see you back on my screen every day again though. Break a leg! You got this!

There is a lot of Disney YouTubers out there doing the same thing as you. It is very competitive. Tim Tracker has been doing it for ten years.

Kyle, I'm excited for you in taking this new journey. Being seasonal and in entertainment, I was among the first wave to be let go, after 28 seasons. I'm thankful for everything I've learned from Disney, and fully understand their need to make changes. Personally, I'm staying positive and hope to return post-Covid. Cheers to a great beginning!

From Walt Disney himself....
“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”
“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”
“It's kind of fun to do the impossible.”

Best of luck in perusing your dreams! No matter what the outcome, you will learn lessons and so much about yourself along the journey!

I have the same story. Did the College Program, graduated, went back and got a job at Epcot as a restaurant host, felt unfulfilled. After a few months I left, came back to NYC, and got a job in tv production. Best decision I ever made. Instead of Disney deciding what my career would be, I decided for myself. And I still visit Disney Parks once or twice a year. I’ve been to all of them except for Shanghai and Hong Kong, and I’ll hopefully visit those two soon. And maybe someday when I retire, I’ll go back to work at Disney. I can honestly say I never had a bad day there. Best experience/time of my life. Anyway, good luck to you!

Glad you stepped out and are doing what you feel you should be doing. I at 26 also, started my own business and now 12 years later I’m so glad I did. My suggestion, would be to make a plan on how you are going to get to where you want and ensure you’re honest with yourself and account for the struggles that will arise. If you plan for the hard times you’ll get through them without quitting. IT WILL BE GREAT! So happy to see you take this step.

I'm from Wisconsin's neighboring state of Minnesota! I just started watching your vlogs because we're going to Disney in a few months and I like getting insight to help prepare for it. We were to go literally the day Disney closed, so 4 days beforehand I had to reschedule everything! Finally we are getting there! I think you're so sweet and adorable to watch, so I think it's great you're doing what you love. I hope we run into you while you're there vlogging!

You are a true inspiration Kyle! You made working for WDW so fun and exciting; and it is when your loving what your doing. I was let go so our stories are different but we are ending our journey with Disney as of right now. For you making this decision was great for your happiness and career. If vlogging makes you happy then do what you love! Can’t wait for the daily vlogs to come back in January!!

I would suggest having a mini-series that is updates on what's happening in DW. Those videos do good.

I'm a former Cast Member myself and i don't blame you for leaving Disney. They don't treat their cast members good at all

I’m so glad you took this leap of faith. Youth is the time to take risks and bet on yourself. It’s how we grow! And I never would have found your channel or this community without that risk!

This video was on my explore page! I’m a wdwcm currently, and I’ve been battling with quitting for quite some time since being called back in August to a new role that I really don’t enjoy. This was really helpful to watch! Thanks so much.

My son also used the CP to work where he always dreamed. He extended his CP three times and gained a lot of experience. He then went full time and completed many work shops to add to his skills list. He has now been at Disney 6 years and still loves it just like the first day. He was a simple country boy that began at the Grand Floridian to now performing three to four times a day at Magic Kingdom.
