How To Repair And Resurface Spalled, Salt Damaged Concrete | Concrete Patio Repair
Показать описание
#repairspalledconcrete #concreteresurfacing #resurfaceconcretepatio
In this video I'm going to show you how to repair and resurface spalled and salt damaged concrete.
This concrete patio had what looked like just a few areas of concrete spalling. But when I started to grind and remove the damaged concrete, the areas kept getting bigger and bigger.
Spalling concrete is caused by throwing salt and de-icers on concrete in freezing temperatures to melt snow and ice. The melted snow / ice gets absorbed into the concrete and eventually re-freezes.
When water freezes it expands so when this happens inside the concrete it pops of the surface resulting in spalled, salt damaged concrete.
Knowing the correct way to repair the damaged concrete and how to resurface the concrete is what I'm going to show you. If you know the right steps and prepare the concrete like I do, your repair will last for years and not flake off after the first season.
