Great technique. I wonder if taping on both the sides of the deep crack, forming a very narrow visible surface and then doing this technique, will avoid the excess paint on the body and limit the work area?

Finally, a process I can get me head around. I thought you were going to use the blade to shave down the high spot but when I saw it used as a spreader of the paint I loved it.

Really amazing work. The remaing small mark could be where the paint applied into the scratch carried on shrinking back a little?

I've tried this method on a metallic car, it seems like it's not meant for it. The result was not same as solid color. Anyway, thank you for sharing this knowledge. It does help me to get rid of scratches on my solid paint car. 😊 Always wait for your new videos.

A good honest video which makes a refreshing change from those videos showing miraculous like new results. This video is honest and shows a honest true result.
This method with a razor blade seems unbelievable as you think a metal razor blade will damage the paint. But this guy states clearly to use the slightest of pressure.
Just one hint for you bud. A slightly better result could have been obtained by using a thicker paint, a thinner brush and doing shorter sections. This reduces massively the amount of excess paint. Yes it takes longer but the results make it worth it.
Very good video m8. Well done 👍

I love how you used the razor blade as a leveler for the paint.

Thanks for uploading the video its very informative.
One question I have is can you use this method with metallic paints like diamond silver for instance?
Thanks

Fantastic process. I've always struggled with scratches. I seen a video where they used the blade to shave the high spots but your method is much better.. Thank you for the insight 🙂

I learned today that deep scratches need to have the panel repainted for the best and most cost effective result

... would it make sense to use a tape up and down the scratch to have only a small line with the scratch?
Now go on like shown,
remove the tape and the scratch is filled more / higher ... go on with the sand paper ...

Would this procedure work for these new “Tri-Coat” paints with metallic flakes?

What do you think about those line painters? It seems less messy. You are a professional I thank you.

Which polish do you think will give a more suitable and better glossy finish without hardly any holograms if applying by hand foam applicator working it for a little?

It is for light-scratch removal that doesn't have any fillers and glaze?

Maybe Sonax perfect finsih? Sonax 03-06? or Koch M3.02? I don't know

I think we need a new category of 'DIY' when the person doing the DIY is a highly skilled professional.

What did you use to polish off the scratched area? Was a clear coat applied after sanding.
