It works. Dont use other fps limiters like in game options or nvidia control panel. Its decrease performance.

In Valorant it’s happening to me too. 600 fps in practice mode but stuttering sometimes (rarely but when it happens its bad).

Sometimes Your mouse DPI can also cause stuttering, so keep it under 6000 for RPG games.

I have a decent pc, like not bad at all, I have an nvidia GeForce graphics card, my pc used to never stutter, but now in any game it seems, 50% of the time when things are happening, I can see my FPS go stuck at 144, for like .5 second, then I see it racing back up from assumably 0 frames. I really need help so I’m gonna try to explain again, everything’s fine, and it freezes, and I look at FPS, and everything’s frozen so I’ll usually see the 144, and then bam! Everything’s back and my FPS is shooting back up the 144. Graphics are not an issue, and I’ve also tried messing with power plans and update drivers as well repairing those games. Please someone help it’s been like this for a month. Any response is much appreciated ❤️

Why even catching fps through rtss do we still have stutters sometimes?

Also, the Gamebar from Xbox could be causing stutter for you aswell. I done something to it yesterday and all my issues with games completely stopped.

when I have the fps set to unlimited i can run the game above 60 no problem like 70-110 and never goes below 60 but the second I set the max fps to 60 the fps drops are constant and below 60 with lots of stuttering

do i have to do it again in rivatuner

Fps cap in rivatuner is good, but not "console good" unfortunately.
It gets away with it on high framerates, but then again, frametiming isn't extremely noticeable even at 60.
Not compared to how it gets below it anyway.
If one has to go with a 30fps lock though and want that super locked framerate, either use half sync in nvidia control panel or use special K with half sync.
Added input lag, but the delivered frames are synced to screen refresh
