My man here guiding us, leading us to the
Natty New Era, not a Golden but a Diamond one. And we shall prevail over pencil-neck biomechanics gurus, black pillers and fake natties alike, since our power can never be even conceive by these fiends.

Finally a fellow youtuber addresses this topic. Glad to hear you've got a non-dogmatic view on behind the neck exercises.

Btw for upright rows and flared out presses, it's INTERNAL ROTATION but the same argument of "shoulder impingement" comes up so just wanted to clarify that detail before someone strawmans my position. The point is, load management and tissue capacity > all and behind the neck presses CAN be done safely if microloaded over time with good technique.

Alex was doing neck presses to his ass. That’s crazy

At this rate we’re going to have a short for every lift (which would be amazing)

as a person who has ijured both his rotator cuffs and had shoulder problems, learning to do behind the neck presses and getting used to the rom made my shoulders feel 10x better

Bro your mobility and range of motion is so underrated. Unreal how impeccable that form is

I think the problem is that people build up the standard version amd then try behind the neck with the same weight. You have to start at square one for a variation that hits different connective tissue

Tired of being told exercises are bad when its jumping weights with crap form that's bad.

All my OHP recently has been behind the neck and I’m loving it. Hit 45kg on the Klokov style for 15 reps the other day and 40kg for 20 reps on shoulder width.
My aim is to get to 60kg for 20 reps, can’t imagine the strength gains that will come from that💪❤️👊

The sped up part at the end kind of freaked me out. Caught me off guard, homie.

World record bencher in the 80s Ted Arcidi swore by press behind the neck helping the initial start off the chest.

This dropped just in time. Put the behind the neck press back into the rotation again and it felt like heaven. One of the best shoulder movements out there. Goated exercise

BTN OHP helped me break through a rather annoying overhead press plateau from the front. Definitely a good exercise and for general hypertrophy I actually prefer it as it absolutely destroys my side delts and upperback, rear delts included, a ton

Exactly high reps wide grip BTN press blows my shoulders up.

FINALLY BRO, I'm glad you're on board with the BTN press, maybe people will stop fearing it slowly.

I've been arguing with older bodybuilders and "corrective exercise specialists" (whatever the hell that means) for a while now that it's not a dangerous lift at all. There's no other compund movement that hits my side delts that hard.

There is this YouTube channel called Masters Muscle that did a short on why you shouldn't do BTN press and the only reason he stated was "well biomechanically there is no reason to be in that position 🤓☝️". When I commented, he threw all his titles at me and asked what I am/my titles are. These people are clowns.

Man I’ve been waiting for this video for years now. I knew Alex was a BTNPer, but I never saw a video on it.

I can imagine starting with really light loads could do wonders for shoulder mobility. Even if it's starting out with a broom 😂.
