1. Get a UV flashlight. If you go in a dark room and beam the light on money paper you can see the lines and symbols only detected by UV light that government officials use to differentiate counterfeit money. Now put your glasses on and if you can still see the symbols your glasses are not 100% UV protected.

2. Bring your sunglasses to your local optometrist. They will usually have a device that can tell the prescription of any lenses and this device also has a spectrometer. The device measures the transmittance of UV light.

Test 1 is not totally reliable. I tried it on a few pairs that didn't "pass" this test. However I did Test 2 and they passed with flying colors using the spectrometer. My 2 cents experience.
