This is not some gimmick you see or hear about but the most effective way to actually get rid of ground moles. I go over the setup and detailed steps I use to quickly and easily catch and eliminate ground moles permanently. I've used this same technique for years and it's the only one I've found to consistently work. I've removed dozens of ground moles this way. Juicy fruit, soap, sound, exhaust, chemicals, water hose, poisons are luck at best if not dangerous, damaging and far more time consuming.

This was the BEST video I've Come across for eliminating mole. It's been so frustrating watching these videos where people have no more knowledge than I have a killing these pests. Incredibly well explained. Thank you

This is the BEST and most informative video on this topic. I’ve watched so many, and it bugs me that others waste my time when they obviously don’t have any experience with moles. You, sir, are the real deal, and I wish I had seen yours before all the ridiculous bad information on other videos.

For anyone with a problem, this guy has the only good info to actually solve it. And I love how respectful you are regarding those who don’t like killing them. You seem like a very decent person. I did cringe hen you stuck your bare fingers under that trap, but I’ll get over it. Glad you didn’t get speared.

The mole's face was blurred in case it's family members are watching.

These longer style harpoon traps with double-twisted frames as shown in the video have not been manufactured by Victor in many years. There is no closely similar model to that long style available on the market today from any supplier that I’m aware of. The newer style Victor or Sweeney harpoon trap is shorter in overall length, has shorter harpoon spikes, and less spring tension. In the newer single-twist style, one of the two anchor stakes is parallel and closely adjacent to the mole run and therefore doesn’t anchor well on one side while straddling the mole run, limiting its effectiveness. Even with its limitations the newer style harpoon trap is one of the few traps that can be used up close against a hard surface, like a mole run directly next to a sidewalk. I’ve used both the long and short style harpoon designs for many years in past with some success, but the number of missed hits can be high, even with years of skill. The issue is getting the trigger set ‘perfectly’ for different soil types and conditions, run depth, etc., as noted in the video. The trigger can be overly sensitive and since the soil can move ahead of the mole like a wave in water as he bulldozes through, it trips just in front of him, that’s why a gap is needed between the soil and the trigger to compensate for the trigger sensitivity. Make the gap just a little too big and it doesn’t trip at all.

My preferred trap in recent years is a cinch trap design that looks somewhat like a double pair of scissors. Models from Around The Home (Easy Mole Trap) and Wire Tek (EasySet Mole Eliminator Trap) are preferred. Both are available at Amazon, Rural King, and other stores. Note that there are many very similar looking and cheaper designs that use thinner steel and have other subtle design issues that can make the pinching levers bend or break when up against roots or rocks. I’ve tried many other trap styles or designs over the years and prefer this ‘scissor like’ design for its simple ease of use, safety, and high effectiveness. I suggest anyone buying traps for the first time to buy 2 to 4 traps. I’ve been trapping moles since 1987 and In the period of Jan. 1, 2018 until Aug. 23, 2018 I’ve trapped 117 moles with this ‘scissor like’ cinch design, so I have some experience in trapping. The one key piece of advice I would give is to check your yard often, and the moment you find a new mole run do something, because every day that goes by your chance at success drops dramatically.

OMG where have you been for all these hours upon hours of searching and watching these supposedly "same info" videos?!
YOU my friend, are the first and only one that actually/finally answered my (some may say stupid) questions! Omg thanks!

Used exhaust from truck for 25 minutes in 3 separate tunnels. Haven't seen any fresh movement in area for three days.

Wearing latex/nitrile gloves and rubbing your hands thoroughly with dirt helps cover up your scent as well. Moles have a great sense of smell.

Yeah I've tried all those methods got all the traps if you really want to get rid of the moles it's very simple just go to your farm and garden store and get grub control that you spread on your lawn two to three times a year that's what the moles are looking for if you do that you won't need the traps I have tried traps for years they never worked but with this method we haven't had any moles and a big lawn

And when you set a trap in the ground, you must call out to all the moles in the area .. "You called down the thunder, well now you've GOT IT!". It sends a message. Trust me.

These are my most dependable traps I got 7 of them. I find them at garage sales .If I got a real serious problem I set 3 or 4 on the same site. It never fails me.I do have other kinds but these are the best for the surface jobs.

Other than this lovely vid, try drowning them. Find the freshest hole, you'll know, losten the very top of the mound and you'll see a little tunnel. Direct the hose at that tunnel and run the hose a minute or less. Worked the first time.

People that are against killing them with traps don't likely have a mole problem.

I use conventional mouse traps baited with peanut butter, covered with a plastic 6' food tray, placed upside down weighted with a rock on top, I get about 10 moles a week. I've tried all the other "gimmicks", simple and basic is tried and true.

No moles were harmed in the making of this video... 🤔🤣

Always set traps while barefoot. Moles may smell leather in boots and think cows are above and may crush them. Also, I always stretch mole carcass out in yard as a lesson to other moles as to who they're messing with.
