For anyone wondering how the door works, it actually has a lot to do with general relativity and quantum mechanics, but before we start I want to clarify that I am explaining how the door functions not the procedure for using one. Now, with out of the way let’s begin. The most fundamental thing about the door is the swinging motion, think of it like a wall being turned sideways. The reason you’re able to swing such a heavy object is do to the clever use of leverage in doors, which, again we do not have time to get into. If you’re looking for a more in depth explanation of doors that explains these things there’s always “The magic of doors” a documentary by Quentin Tarantino. Now you may be wondering, how does the door bring you inside the house? The answer lies in general relativity, you see the door itself does not actually move, instead the universe bends around it. This false movement means it everywhere in the universe at once, thus allowing it to transport you to the inside of your house. Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk.
