I was really unprepared, and worst of all, everyone saw… I mean, they saw a stain… That’s when they started making fun of me, teasing me, telling me I was gross. Good thing my best friend was there to help me. There was also this boy, Sid… he helped me more than I could have imagined.

School camp trip while on my period. This was sixth grade. Best days of my life. My reading teacher said at one of the activities, that we should throw tampons at the boys if they try to raid our cabins. She said this in front of several other boys and by dinner everyone had heard about it.
