China just broke NASA's space walk record by 12 minutes while working on their Tiangong space station, an important step toward their goal to have their taikonauts walk on the moon by 2030.

Meanwhile, NASA is struggling to stay on pace to meet the same goal by 2027. Can the incoming NASA administrator, tech giant and space pioneer Jared Isaacman get things back on track?

Will the U.S. or China get back to the surface on the moon first?

And as an audiobook here:

China has a consistent plan to land someone on the moon by 2030. NASA originally planned to go back in this year, but now they're saying 2027+, which, in theory, still happens 2+ years ahead of China. The difference is that China tends to meet their estimated dates, while NASA keeps slipping the schedule. We'll see.

I feel like the motivation of these 2 countries are complete opposite. China is motivated to innovate and do stuff while the US only does stuff because China is "trying to beat" them. All Chinese timeline is according to their technological level, that's why they seem to reach their goals mostly in time while American timeline mostly political and feeling because they have to compete. Lol.

If you even forgot China has space station out there, you are not qualified to comment anything about China space project. You are either ridiculously ignorant or arrogant, or both.

US landed on the moon and numerous Apollo missions but can't bring back the 2 stranded Astronauts. Their stay on ISS keeps extending 😊

If you think about it the Chinese space station is the most advanced station built by a country in history. A single country

We need to be honest. Artemis is so complicated versus Apollo that it honestly has a slim chance in working and even less so than being on the timeline given.

The real question is did US ever landed on the moon?

US claims to have landed in the moon but why is it finding it so difficult to land on the moon again?.

Thanks for this one. Space is also a passion for me personally. Born in the age of moon landings, I am excited for a new space exploration growth and the potential for us to see colonized places outside of earth's gravity in my lifetime.

The International Space Station is only 280 kilometers away from the sea level of the earth. The stranded astronauts have not yet been able to return. The moon is 380, 000 kilometers away from the earth. In 1970, the Americans shot three astronauts and two golf carts to the moon and back. Do you believe it or not?

So sick of these people wanting to "beat" others to the moon. Dude, they planned it years before you decided to go back there again. They're not racing against you. You're trying to "beat" an imaginary adversary for no reason. What exactly is your purpose of going back there?

What I love about this channel is that Ward gets some seriously high end technical people to talk shop. TJ is seriously clued in. Justin B has long been my favourite, but TJ is a serious Moochie stuff and well pitched for the home engineer/bodger.

I don't think it's important to be 1st back to the moon, more important is to get it right and get real knowledge out of it. Thanks Mr.Mooch and TJ!

The Tiangong space station is smaller than the aging I.S.S., but it's much more modern, much more elegant, and much more sophisticated. The I.S.S. is experiencing leaks; its decommissioning can't come too soon.

As China was banned by USA from participating in the so-called International Space Station, it left with no choice but to develop his own modest Tian Gong space station.

Did you forget anything?
Why not just try to bring those two guys back home first?
They have been in the ISS for over 6 months!

TJ is incorrect when he says Northrop Grumman is the prime contractor for the Orion spacecraft (capsule). Lockheed Martin is the prime contractor.
