Glad you showed off the new law, I didn’t actually realize that attaching Don to your searcher is enough to activate the bottom decking of your own character, maybe the new leader isn’t as bad as I thought! Hope they give some more heart pirate support RP law

Agree mostly with Topic of day; the game has crept very quickly to a pretty absurd point where the power level is rising so goddam fast type locking some of the main offenders wouldve definitely helped. Type locking a powerful effect is always just better from a design perspective (and easier on devs too) than making sure every future card of that abusable effect cannot be abused, although in situations like RP Law ban, ban advocates would always say the leader was the issue because every future 4cost and under Red and Purple card needed to be restricted/designed in a way where Law could not abuse them, but one could argue that if the big problem cards were type locked the leader would not have needed a ban (look at how weak/tame OP06 RP Law was), so really you could argue RP Law shouldve been released with a type restriction on what it could cheat out (like the promo ver currently does) but keep the bottom deck opponent effect
I also think maybe Bandai didnt type lock some of the big problem cards we have today because in the past there have been some cards that really are not that problematic/powerful in the end but were type locked initially anyway; An example that immediately comes to my mind is Red 2kCounter Koala (I find myself almost NEVER playing this card unless I already have the perfect setup on field i.e. lindbergh on field with enemy key 6k blocker), that card may have been giga OP in RP Law but being a -3k for 1 additional Don (compared to Gordon/Raise Max) is actually quite pricey considering how little don you have to work with generally. But a more recent example is the OP08 10c Blue Newgate, legal in only 2 decks (BlueYellow Ace and BlueRed Marco) and only BARELY playable in the former deck... yeah idk anytime someone at my locals pulls that card physically its a massive disappointment on their faces LMAO

I think when it comes to type lock I believe it’s very important to have coming from a card game like yugioh rn the state of that game is to many generic cards that are all bs expensive and running maybe 12 cards of your archetype the game has become extremely toxic because of it

I dislike leader-locking in most cases. I think type/colour-locking the targets of effects is really good though. Would love Gecko limited to Thriller Bark targets. I think kid & killer is fine, would rather see it balanced in other ways (e.g. 4k base power and +3k in condition, make the condition 1 or less life, or change it to on play instead of when attacking so it isn't as urgent to remove it)

Was there a reason for 4c R Promo Law? It was never used in any of the games other than the stat line. I feel the 4c R Sachi & Penguin or the 4c P Blocker Law could've served better as utility options that will work multiple turns in a row.
I loved my Law deck and getting banned hurt but I understand why. I know it'll never be as good but you're giving me hope that I can play it again as a for fun deck against friends at the very least.

Also; for the promo RP Law build; you mentioned to not include Mr2 but I think it has fantastic synergy (ontop of just being a must 4of in any purple deck) in the leader. First you hard play it for its +1 active don, but more importantly if it sticks for a turn you can swing with it for a copied attack power which allows you to bottom deck that card to cheat a heart pirate (since that card is the copied power until you pass turn), and it's a card you're happy to bottom deck because that card will basically NEVER live the following turn (barring exceptional circumstances)
Not to bm (and I think you Vv also recognise this), but I think the promo leader is still incredibly incredibly bad. You even discussed the whole 4life leader issue on an earlier video, and this leader is 4life AND has to remove his bodies to cheat out bodies (thus going even lower in card advantage) for a pretty minimal board tempo swing (compared to the old ver ofcourse). You were also versing other 4 life leaders (who we all know universally has weaknesses to fast gameplay generally) except the blackbeard that got very little mileage off his -1s to stop your onplays. Yes Im aware not everybody is playing super well on the sim nor should we expect it, but some of the plays were borderline trolling (the decklist of the blueyellow ace player I would consider borderline trolling too, AND he lethaled himself by triggering satori when he wouldve had enough counter to survive kidkiller if he did not trigger satori) and any mediocre rush deck would've been able to win in those situations such as a poorly built OP07 Dragon leader. Again, not to bm nor do I think you are trying to pass the promo rp law as good or whatever, but unlike some previous videos Ive seen, these games were... not stellar in the slightest lets just say 🤣

Gecko coulda at least been 7k body or color locked if they weren’t going to type restrict it. How they gunna type restrict and make the new Rebecca cards 4k body😢 I get she still has a strong effect playing a 7cost and 4cost. But it’s type restricted and it can’t even play another Rebecca and it’s even situation restricted (having an 8cost in play)

I think given the current meta and with what's coming in 09/10, UB Saka could be unbanned and everything would be alright.

In my opinion type locking isn't a health solution to "fix" or "balance" the game, cause it just simply ruins deck building, and creativity in TCGs. There's only 2 times where type locking actually work is architype searchers, or when the type locking is lore accurate.

Imo this game best cards are the ones that are designed to be lore accurate, like 7c Enel not being able to use its effect if your opponent has a Luffy on their field. Type locking Gecko to just "Thriller Bark" isnt lore accurate and wouldn't makes scene from a Character perceptive.

Doffy is more oppressive than RP law ever was, you can potentially spit out 4 bodies on a good doffy turn, rp law was 2 at most because of how much don he was sending back to his don deck

What I see, is people cry for anything…🙃🙃🙃 saka, gets banned, law 😅… the same, gets banned, now moria, rebecca same speech… what's next? Marshall laboon?, purple ramp don abuse ban, perona, doffy jinbe combo🧐, enel, katakuri big 10 mom, yamato double banish, perona GB, Uta, luffy, brook, lvl 3 combo? Kid 8…🙃🙃🙃, and the list go on and on…😅😅😅 for future will be… the endless cycle of cries and bans 😅😅😅, and the solution will be ban all colors let’s play like troglodites no brain pure red rush😂😂😂😂😂😂 jajaja 🤪
