Its known that most stores use tcgplayer prices but the problem was that FF had posted previously that they will not receive any more distribution of the newest set and 3 days later a "pallet" was suddenly there with more product. This company was known to cancel pre order and resell it at after market prices, hence why all the hate

The store is Forge and Fire Gaming in MO. The source is primary, as in they posted it directly themselves.

Me personally, I don’t pay above retail for anything. It’s a rule I’ve just set for myself after a lot of learned over the years. I’ll miss out on some deals, but it’s served me very well so far.

The sad truth is allocation on the next 2 sets has already been cut in half for all stores. so if they can't even meet demand on an upcoming set, how on earth are they gonna make a reprint big enough to make any kind of impact on the market. there is also a new dbz tcg and union arena set to release this year. So i would be amazed if prices actually plummet. hell even the official Bandai store has changed the policy to 6 packs per person now.

My locals store on Tuesday said they received a case and would sell boxes for $150.they haven't had product in for 2 months.

Maybe it's a very smart anouncement from Bandaï...maybe Bandaï says: come on stores sell everything you ordered from us to the players and don't keep stock behind...who knows...

out of all the TCG's they NEED to print more for players and I thought originally they said OP TCG wasn't going to be over printed because they wanted to keep it a collectable game

People were emptying targets of their OnePiece. I doubt they thought it was going to go that nuts, so it makes sense if the sellers are there, sell them something they want.

Too over priced to get into. If they do get some at the shops I’ve been to they sell out. I’ve been wanting to play since it was announced. The prices for booster boxes is just insane. Do they have the same issues in Japan?

I know we're deep in the Pokemon Terastal Festival hype, but I would love a weekly or monthly update on OPCG or other TCGs you have in order to understand it better. Pokemon has such a violent market right now, it would be nice to see a step back and review of a "newer" ecosystem.

I really hate those people who manipulate the market and hog all the products ..especially when the game is actually fun. Just managed to buy 1 booster box of op 05 and thats it i havent gotten any after the prize spike

Yeah, I have also seen some crazy stuff in the market as well. Prices have been jacked for certain cards and certain booster sets. I’m not surprised.

The difference from other TCG is that OP is mostly for the players and the market is based on playability not collectability. Japanese equivalents are cheap even for OP01 and boxes are widely available still.
