Unless you're a breeder I have to highly recommend you get your female cats spayed. Of course there's the risk of cancer, but there's also the risk of pyometra, a condition where the cat's uterus literally fills with pus. It's a life-threatening condition that will kill your cat without emergency treatment that WILL be more costly than an ordinary spay. I had a coworker who's cat developed pyometra and she had to drop a lot of money to get her treatment that she was stressed about it for months afterwards
