Cat First Heat Cycle - HELP

(LUCY to the VET 4 days later to get Spaded)
SHE DID NOT DIE....THE LAST PIC WAS HER SLEEPING OFF SPAY RECOVERY on the...

HEATING PAD under her bed and she resting awesome. She purred and moaned for about 1 hr then calmed down.

At first we thought she broke her back. We were so scared I ran to her thinking she was injured. I immediately looked up videos on cats in heat and realized what was going on. I tried the stuff animal trick..that didn't work. Then we held her and played with her to take her mind off the heat cycle. Which it did work for a little while. Then we got the heating pad going. She immediately sat down on the heating pad and started to calm down.

Then I decided to placed one under her bed making her place she sleeps really warm and cozy. She did great through the night.

Taking her to get Spayed in 4 days!

When I was younger and my mom told me my cat was in heat, I would think she was actually hot so I placed her in front of a softly blowing fan

I had a chihuahua who hated everyone, until she was in heat. When she was in heat she loved everyone and was so sweet . As soon as she was off she was back to being Demon Dog .

We have a male 3 legged cat who's been neutered and a female who hasn't been spade yet and my God is that awkward. PS the male is chonky seeing that he can't expend as much energy with only having three legs so when she "wants some" he simply lays on top of her with the most idgaf face and she gets so pissy but at least they like eachother.

My friend's roommate had a cat that went in heat. All she did when I visited was hang out at the windowsil and meow at this stray tomcat outside. The roommate told me "If you see that cat asking to be let in DON'T. He acts like he lives here but he just wants to hump my cat." They ended up getting her spayed because of the tomcat's multiple break in attempts.

I've had several cats, but one girly named Xena got her first heat cycle, and despite extra precaution, she sprinted out the door the moment my roommate came home from work, and disappeared for three days. Long story short, she got knocked up and now I became a midwife to my cat. Three healthy cute kittens tho, all got great homes 👍

I remember years ago my friend's grandma had a cat once from a lady who told her the cat had been spayed. Then the cat went into heat, and I overheard my friend's grandpa saying "She was outside yesterday. I didn't know she was in heat. For all we know she might be carrying already." and the grandma goes "If that slut is with kittens so help me I'll have her taken to a back alley." and then her grandpa goes "Jesus, that is dark Betty." and they both laughed. I didn't understand it at the time, I thought she meant she'd abandon her. But then with time, through the media and books about the history of mesicine, I understood that the back alley comment meant a back alley abortion. I have to agree with Mr. Duvall, that WAS dark Betty 😐 Lol.
