I bought the DWS779 and an 80 tooth blade and the plan was to change out the 32 tooth. There are a lot of videos on changing the blade BUT yours was the only one that mentioned loosening the screen towards the back of the silver that screw being loosened, I was not able to get the blade guard out of the way to remove the bolt for the blade -- so KUDOS to you.

Mine was slightly different, it had a hex bolt for the blade securing lock instead of the star 40. However, the tool that was on the back of the fence had both the hex and the star 30, so it worked out. I guess a difference in manufacturing runs or something. I have had mine for about 4 years, I think.

This was a fantastic tutorial. I just bought my Dewalt miter saw and am making holders for my drills with 3 inch pvc pipe. I had to change out the blade that came with it to a 100 count Diablo blade for the pvc. It would have taken me 3 times as long and much frustration without your video. Thanks a bunch! I generally like to stick with a higher count blade anyway for the type of wood working I do such as making tool holders.
