Can someone please tell the bolt tightener guy at the Ryobi factory to take it easy mayne?! I need a bandaid and therapy after trying to loosen the blade bolt.

What did you use? A air wratchet at the factory? It’s overtightened to an impossible to remove degree... need some grease on that but before installing and not so crazy tight guys at the factory

Whew! That thang was on tight! I had to use a clamp on the right side to hold the spindle lock since I didn’t have anyone with me to hold it down. On the left side, I used a 1/2 ratchet, and lightly tapped it with a hammer until it loosened up.

2023 FOR ANYBODY WATCHING:

Follow all the rest of the instructions from the video about removing the former screw to access the blade bolt in the first place..

1: Take some type of lubricant i.e WD-40, spray the nut and bolt that you are removing. Wipe any excess.

2. Put the short end of the Allen Wrench provided into the bolt. Then instead of turning with your hand, take a hammer and tap the Allen wrench end where you would normally place your hand to turn it.
Make sure you are tapping towards the CLOCKWISE position.

No extra tools including a wrench etc needed. This method knocked it loose for me immediately. So I hope it helps you. 💪

Ok so my cover screw is a different bit then everywhere else. I have no way of taking this screw out. So I really can’t do anything about it. Meaning I can’t change my blade. Can you help me out?

I have an old PRO Mitre saw, which I can't find now but need a new blade. Is there any type of general Blade which will fit all Mitre Saw. I don't want to have to keep buying a new Mitre saw every time I need a new blade. Can you help?

The new blade is a tight fit. Will tightening the bolt force the blade back against the back washer? I figure it has to fit snug up against the back support

My 7 1/4 Ryobi miter is saw is about 1 1/2 years old. I use it alot, so I just changed blade. Could not find a Ryobi blade, so put a Dwalt. But I notice NOW, it smokes and I see burn marks on wood. What did I do wrong?

Is there one washer that is removable and the other screwed down? Or is there only one washer?

Holy hell was my blade on tight from the factory. Use a heavy duty socket to loosen if it's right out of the box, the blade wrench that comes with the saw would have bent for sure.

My blade spins, it's not locked, so I'm battling to take off the bolt, which is as tight as heck. How do I prevent the blade from moving as I try unlock it?
