Tuna Melt Nachos | Food Wishes

This is my favorite hot, grilled sandwich in nacho chip form, and they really were amazing. I tried to use as much restraint as possible, and not just make this a pan of loaded nachos with some tuna hidden underneath, and I think that was the key. The ingredient list might look scarce, but the final bite was exactly what I was hoping for, and I think you and your friends are going to love them. Enjoy!

Tuna nachos sounded weird to me at first - then I remembered I ate a pepper jack tuna melt with bacon and barbecue sauce the other day. The lesson here is to not knock things until you try them.

My brother invented tuna nachos when we were kids, like 40 years ago. We put tuna, cheese, and salsa on tortilla chips…. And then popped them under the boiler.. Top them with some sour cream and chives or guacamole when they come out and yummy! Delicious struggle food!

I highly recommend Cazo de Oro Kettle cooked chips. They're so high quality-- in fact, it's not even close!-- & reasonably priced. Since we've discovered them at Walmart, my family demands they're always in the house.
