When are we finally going to take action to protect kids from the insanely destructive effects of the internet and social media? Also, Elon Musk releases documentation proving that the Hunter Biden laptop story was suppressed at the behest of Democrat operatives. Plus, religious liberty is back on trial at the Supreme Court. The Left invents an insane conspiracy theory to explain a power outage in North Carolina. In our daily cancellation, what exactly is a "dink" and why are they being canceled?

The left would hate you for liking, commenting, and subscribing, which is all the more reason to do it.

*I'm a high school teacher.* I've been saying for YEARS that social media is a cancer destroying an entire generation's self-esteem, ability to focus, social skills, as well as causing them to retreat into an online world and miss out on the experience of life.
I have students who are racking up 30 to 40 hours *per week* on TikTok. I have had a couple of students whose weekly cell phone use is over *100 HOURS!* The constant battle in classrooms to manage misuse of cell phones is exhausting and frustrating. Given that we're not allowed to touch or take the phones, our hands are tied and admin doesn't have the time to deal with every single infraction.
You have to see it to believe it. You think you know how much kids use phones until you see them at school with no parental supervision. The addiction is real and it is very, *very* disturbing and sad.

It really is. Cell phones in the hands of kids is one of the worst things to happen to our culture in modern times.

My 11 year old wants TikTok so bad.. she thinks I'm unreasonable.. but I feel even more sure of my decision. Those poor kids and families. 🥺

I was at a theme park and I saw so many very little children throwing a fit not wanting to put down their phones and ride rides. This place has 7 million Christmas lights and they were oblivious to all but their colorful screens

Letting your children have a Tik Tok account is child abuse.

Totally agree with keeping kids away from smartphones. My 8 year old daughter constantly begs us to buy her a phone. I offered to buy her a flip phone, but she requested a smartphone. When I asked her why, she said "so I can take seflies with my friends".

People have no idea how destructive smartphones can be to a child's mental wellbeing.

13:20 this is so wild to me - none of my kids have phones, and my 15-year-old (who's my oldest) is obsessed with books, has great grades, he's incredibly talented at drawing, he's getting into competitive shooting, just had his first hunting trip this year and flew his first airplane, has played baseball since he was little, has 5- and 10-year plans w/ some huge goals, he's a bottomless encyclopedia if you ask him anything about WWII lol he's just an incredible person, he's SO smart and witty and caring and respectful....he's such a gentleman to boot and a great leader of his 2 brothers and among his friends... I'd never have gotten to know him as he is if he was obsessed with social media and electronics. Truly breaks my heart for these kids and for their parents who are missing out on so much of the true richness that's embedded in their children. It just needs to be brought out.

The worse that could have happened to us as a society, is social media. Period.

This is on my list of your most important episodes. I have felt like a lone voice crying out in the wilderness about the topic of smart phones being entirely inappropriate for minors. There is so much harm that happens to children because of their overuse/misuse. I have been saying this for years, but my words have fallen on deaf ears. I'm so happy to hear someone who actually reaches a large audience talk about this extremely important subject. Thank you, Matt. You are one of the few people in the world I can actually admire.

As an adult who was groomed online in the 90s Yahoo chatrooms, I will say that my kids won’t have smartphones until they’re 18 not because of who they can contact, but who can contact them.

I guess Tik Tok having a whole different limited/educational version for children in China wasn’t a good enough hint for how detrimental it can be for youth if unrestricted, you really need to spell things out for people nowadays.

I grew up in the 90s and graduated high school in the 2000s without even owning a cell phone. Back then it was just MySpace, Youtube didn't exist yet, and Facebook was only a few years away. Now I look at the stuff my nieces and nephews are exposed too and it's insane. Tiktok, influencers, social media, etc. all shoved in their face. Kids get their phones when they're 10-12 years old now. I use social media mainly to talk with family members and look at stuff online, but I already know it's super unhealthy when you sit there and compare yourself to others.

AT&T tried to sell me and my wife a phone for our 4 year old boy. We were so offended, we are now switching to pure talk.

I've got friends that I keep telling "Your kids need a parent, not another friend. They are kids, not little adults. Without you giving them structure and guidance, who will?"

Access to the internet at a young age damaged my brain in my early teen years and continues to haunt me. Because of that, any children I have will never own phones until they either reach high school or adulthood.

I know the topic of kids on electronics has personally affected me. I used to spend hours on a kindle looking at crap a kid my age had no business seeing. I wish my parents had been more controlling in that aspect.
I'm not blaming them for the problems I deal with because of the time I spent on electronics, but it is a mistake I'm going to avoid with my future kids.

Access to internet as a middle and high schooler hurt my psyche. I was 12 years old looking at red rooms and snuff films of cartel decapitations. Children don't need to be online unsupervised
