Haki is representative of a mans will while Devil Fruits are representative of a mans dream. Roger reached Laugh Tale through sheer will but he wasn‘t the right person to fulfill the prophecy because he was lacking the proper dream, that‘s why he had immense haki but no DF. Blackbeard has an immense dream which is why he has multiple DF and is generally a DF-centered character but lacks the proper will since he is always using sneak attacks and slimy tactics, that‘s why he is not depicted as this haki monster. There has to be someone who has both, an immensely strong dream combined with an immensely strong will and Luffy has both. Luffy has the Nika fruit while also being a haki monster. Kaido, for example, had both as well that‘s why he himself and King believed him to be Joyboy but ultimately he did have both, just not strong enough. Luffy has an indestructible will while also having a literal childs dream which he still follows to this day, both which are represented in his powers.

This hits different when you find out the second world failed because they didn’t share the wealth.

Luffy’s real dream really is probably a kiddie version of sharing the sun power with everyone in the world.

Jokes aside. Morj might be the theory goat. To completely decipher the mural to the most believable degrees and factoring Oda's tendencies and the stories themes. I have stocks in a lot of his theories and with how much theyve been banging, I've got stocks on this too

This is by far the best One Piece theory I have ever seen. It perfectly encapsulates everything Oda has been trying to say to us throughout the entire story. The only question I have (an open question that I don't expect an answer to) is what will actually be on Laugh Tale -- Instructions for how to bring about the dawn? A full history of the world? Both? In any case extremely exciting times as we approach the end of the story.

The idea of the third world as you described is exactly why it’s so important that Oda brought up these conflicting interpretations of Sun God Nika recently in the Elbaf Arc. I think the purpose behind the two schools of thought that either Nika was a savior or destroyer is to set up for Luffy to demonstrate how both ideas are true at the same time: by destroying oppressive systems to save and free people.

And obviously Luffy’s got a track record of accomplishing such feats. So the Elbaf arc as a whole is really doing a great job in thematically setting up the final conflict of the entire series.

best breakdown ive seen so far. im glad someone finally acknowledged the fact that the many references to gods, are simply allegorical. the giants are the ones who made the Harley and the use gods often in their manner of speech, so it shouldn't be taken so literally.
