The reason time seems to speed up more and more and your childhood feels like so much of your life is because as we age, 1 year becomes a much smaller percentage of our full life experience. 1 year for a 5 year old is 20% of their whole life, so it feels much longer than 1 year does for a 30 year old because now a year is only 3% of your life. Also, when you’re stuck in the monotony of school or work, the days literally mold together in your memory, but if you find new experiences and unique things to do, you remember it more and then when you think back on your recent life it feels like more time has passed because you remember doing much more unique things. As a kid, everything is new and exciting, but as you see more and start following the same pattern every day, nothing feels exciting or worth remembering. Takeaway - to make the years stop speeding up, do more new things and find more unique moments and experiences

It's so hard to make my days count tho. I finally manned up and got a job so I could support my dreams. But I had no work experience before and couldn't get a job that was any better than part-time and $12/hr and my car had been broken down since march. I figured it up and it will take me til the end of November to be able to afford a new car. I just feel so stuck. I can't even support myself. Much less my dreams.
Music is a career that only really ever works out with a ton of luck, connections, work, and for those who are young. Not only do I feel the pressure to go for this while I'm still young and marketable, but I also have a fire in my chest from not being able to express myself through music. No one is here in Arkansas to help me out bc no one makes the genre I'm into. I'm a vocalist and trying to learn every instrument and production, and my own craft is just too much. Especially with a job and no car and no connections.
Sorry for the lenghty and less than positive comment, but I just needed to get this out there.

ive been going through this stage in my life where i am struggling to really understand life and its meaning and then just before going to sleep i found your video on conversations which lead me to your channel and this video and every single word said in this video really hit me and i really related to them and then seeing the description after spending nearly 2 weeks worring about the meaning of life and my life and it simply says 'maybe this is the meaning of life' gave me a sensation i had never felt and made me feel like i truley was meant to find this video.

I was at my granddads funeral today. I loved him so much, he was one of the closest family I had ever known.
I'm grateful that I got to spend so much time with him lately and that he was such a wonderful person.
Truly heartbreaking to have to say goodbye but I know now I will never let him down and he will be proud of my achievements.
