Simple trick: don't ride your bike. Just remember to dust it off every now and then.

a little hack I do to dry my drivetrain and other important points on the bike is to use a big pump (the camping bed sort) to blow all the water out before giving a final wipe and lubing. works an absolute treat, especially getting it out the derailleur✌️

Never underestimate the power of PDL (protective dirt layer). But always lube the chain.

Some chains are 0.7 just after 300km. Even new 12s chainrings can be 0.5 from a start. By the way my breakes in both bikes, always sounds like this 🤣 and nobody know why...

How about casing tabletops? This can ruin your bike as well? I mean front wheel on landing and rear wheel on the top of table.

Buy two bikes and put one of them on the wall in your livingroom. Than you're always gonna have a clean and well maintained bike that is candy for your eyes 👍

If I cannot dry it off with a cloth (don’t have a clean one, or it’s already damp and gross and just pushes the water around) . I’ll do the drop and shake. So after washing and rinsing after a ride before load up. Lift it up a little and give a short drop so it bounces to get the excess water off. Bounce the back a bit to drop water out the drive train. Then with a tissue or rag wipe up on the drive train and chain. Lastly on the roof rack to blow dry it as I drive home. If it’s raining well I’ll just have to dry it with a cloth when I’m back but it works well for minimum effort.

Just riding a canyon is enough to break it. True story.

When your brakes start to sound like a distressed goose... that is the time to change them.
